[Classes 59 and 86.] In a mixing, shredding, &c. machine of the kind in which blades rotating on parallel axes in a casing comprising a pair of arcuate troughs separated by a saddle piece, with which the blades co-operate, the rotary elements comprise two or more helical blades 13, 14 extending the whole length of the trough and mounted on arms 15, 16 approximately at right angles. The blades may be serrated, or fitted with serrated plates; the saddle 21 may also be serrated.
