Abstract

382,590. Parachutes and drag anchors. HEIN, H., 17, Georg-Gr÷ningstrasse, Bremen, Germany. June 22, 1932, No. 17656. Convention date, July 30, 1931. [Classes 4 and 114.] A drag anchor is caused to rotate about its axis in order to prevent oscillations of its cable. The rotation may be imparted through the cable itself or by providing inclined fins e on the resistance body or in front of or behind it. Holes f may be formed in the wall of the body through which fluid flows to impinge on the fins. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 the invention may be applied to parachutes. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
