[Class 18.] A wardrobe suit case comprises a body portion with a hinged lid, ledges 16, Fig. 2, on the interior of the body portion and spaced from the bottom of the case, and a slidable tray 13 removably supported on the ledges, and each of the ledges and/or the bottom of the tray is so formed that the tray can tip or rock upon the ledges. The tray will be able to rock if its bottom is curved or if the ledges are short or curved. The top of the tray may be open or covered. A removable pocket 25 for boots &c. is attached in the case by pressbutton fasteners and it comprises a doubled sheet of flexible material extending right across the case with its mouth fitted with a sliding clasp fastener. Clothes are placed on plywood &c. garment hangers 20 which fit over a rectangular bar 17 centrally placed adjacent the front flange of the lid. Each hanger includes horns 22, Fig. 5, which abut against a side of the lid and prevent the hanger rocking, a metal plate 19 provided with a T-slot which engages the rectangular bar, and a pivoted hook 23 which can be turned down so that a slot 24 formed in an extension at its lower end engages the bar 17 and the hanger cannot then be removed by reason of an upstanding pin on the outer end of the bar. When the hook 23 is turned to its upright position, the hanger may be used in an ordinary wardrobe. Garments placed in the case fit round the-back and underneath the tray, and they are further prevented from moving about by a strap 26. The corner of the lid and/or that of the body adjacent the lid hinge are provided with a curved packing or a flexible member so that, in conjunction with the curved back of the tray, creasing of the clothes will be prevented.
