Abstract

381,259. Cases for carrying music &c. PYKE, A. H., Capel Leyse, Holmwood, Surrey. July 20, 1931, No. 20675. [Classes 18 and 133.] A rectangular case for music or similar matter, of the type provided with a card index and having one fixed long side and the opposite side hingedly connected to the bottom of the case and the lid, has means such as studs 7, secured to the bottom of the case adjacent the fixed long side 2 thereof for the reception of the card index, so that the numerals or index letters 8 on the free edges of the index leaves 6 are adjacent the hinged long side 4 of the case. Loops 9 are fixed to the inside of the lid 3 of the case for the reception of notes, pencils or other small articles, while a flap closed envelope for the reception of unsorted music is attached to the outside of the lid. The side 2 of the case is provided with a lock 13 and a handle 5 and may have one or more buckled straps 14 for the reception of an umbrella or similar article.
