Abstract

380,292. Drainage. WOODROW, A. C. and WOODROW, W. J., (trading as WOODROW & CO., A. C.), 21, Farringdon Road, London. Nov. 14, 1931, No. 31579. [Class 33.] A road-drainage box adapted to be placed under the upper surface of road kerbs is provided with the top 4 and front grating 3 in one piece which is slidable relatively to the main part of the box. The box comprises side walls 5 and a rear wall 8, and is open at the base. The lower end of the grating 3 is provided with projections 10 engaging guideways 6, 13 which are of angular shape to permit the grating 3 and top 4 to be swung downwards at various positions or to be moved rearwardly. The guideways also allow the grating 3 and top 4 to be removed at the rear end. The upper ends of the bars 11 of the grating merge gradually into the top plate.
