Abstract

379,571. Counting-apparatus. LANDIS ET GYR SOC. ANON., 1, Hofstrasse, Zug, Switzerland. Nov. 27, 1931. No. 32923. Convention date, Dec. 17, 1930, [Class 106 (i).] The numeral drums or transfer members of a counting mechanism are supported between pointed centres. In the construction of Fig. 1, each numeral drum 5 is secured to a shaft 7 having pointed ends bearing in conical recesses 8 in the arms of a supporting framework. In a modification, the pointed ends may be made integral with the numeral drums. The transfer rollers 6 may be mounted similarly. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the pointed bearings 13 are secured to the framework and the conical recesses are formed in the wheels 5. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that any rotatable members of a counting mechanism may be mounted to turn between centres. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
