[Class 45.] A fencing standard or dropper of angle section with strengthening protuberances 2 extending along the edges of the limbs, is formed with downwardly extending slots 3 along its apex in which the horizontal fencing wires 5 are received and a vertical locking wire 4 is passed downwardly between the wires and the apex. The lower end of the standard is pointed.
