Abstract

373,774. Reflector holders. MAXLUME LIGHTING & HEATING CO., Ltd. and THORPE, F. W., Plume & Victoria Works, Aston, Birmingham. May 19, 1931. No. 14715. [Class 75 (ii).] In an electric lamp reflector comprising a body member e detachably attached to a crown member d which is permanently fixed to the lamp holder c or to a supporting spider, the body member is formed'with a cylindrical centre e<2> embodying a hole e<3> adapted to pass freely over the electric lamp bulb a and to fit closely around annular walls d<3> depending from the crown member and surrounding the lamp holder. The annular walls d<3> are formed with an inwardly inclined lower edge d<5> and with a horizontal ledge upon which is fixed a ring plate f having outwardly projecting lugs f<2>. The cylindrical centre e<2> is formed with an inclined wall e<8> to provide an annulus e<4> for accommodating the lugs f<2>, the horizontal top e<5> of the annulus being provided with spaced gaps for the' hit-and-miss engagement of the lugs and with inner depending tongues to straddle the lugs and prevent rotation of the body member e without first lifting it. In a modification the body member comprises a metal carrier constituting the cylindrical centre and a main part of opal glass the bottom of which may be open or closed by a plain or obscure glass disc.
