Abstract

373,641. Collapsable tubes. NAUGLE, W. H., 16, Abbey House, Victoria Street, London. Jan. 19, 1931, No. 1698. [Class 125 (iii).] Relates to col. lapsable tubes of the type having a slitted flexible diaphragm in the delivery outlet, which opens when pressure is applied to the tube, and which may be covered by a film or layer of cellulose acetate as in Specification 344,215. According to the invention a seal 5 of hardened acetyl cellulose is formed by dipping or immersing a nozzle of the type described in Specification 367,395 into a bath containing a solution of this compound. The position of the slit in the diaphragm may be indicated on the seal 5, and the diaphragm may have more than one slit therein.
