Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 98 (ii).] Apparatus for continuously printing by contact one or more negative films, more especially on slow-printing material, comprises a transparent drum 1 which bears peripheral annular guideways 2 for the films and has an axial light source 7, such as a mercury vapour lamp supporting a system of slightly inclined parallel plates 10 held together by rods 11 ; endless opaque belts each passing round a guideway on the drum and round rollers 18 .. 22, the roller 20 being spring-controlled to take up slack in the belt ; and series of pairs of delivery spools 12, 13 and take-up spools 14, 15 in staggered formation for the various negatives and sensitive films which are to be fed round the drum under the belts. The drum is driven by pulley-gearing from a motor, or is rotated by the action of unwinding the films, and the take-up spools 14, 15 are geared by belt or chain to a pulley-driven shaft carrying rollers 19 driving the endless belts.
