[Class 98 (i).] Relates to rollfilm cameras of the type in which the film supply spool is located in the spool chamber without spigot or other positive centring means, and consists in the provision of one or more d i s c s mounted on pivots within the spool chamber for idle rotation about axes perpendicular to the spool axis so as to make rolling contact with the spool flanges and minimize sticking of the spool within the chamber. As shown in Fig. 2, the supply spool 15, pressed towards the back of the camera by a spring 17, has end flanges 16 engaging dished discs 18 mounted on pivots 19 on the floor of the spool recess 13. For the take-up spool only one disc 18 is necessary. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which the discs 18 are carried by a plate 20 adapted to be inserted into the spool chamber and formed with a curved film guide 21. Fig 4 shows a further modification in which the disc 18 is carried by the hinged or detachable camera back 13x. According to the Provisional Speci. fication, discs may be provided both on the back and on the floor of the spool recess.
