365,750. Adjusting wireless apparatus. DELFOSSE, E. J. L., Chivilcoy, Astons Road, Moor Park, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, FREARSON, A. E., 36, 2nd Avenue, Mortlake, and ATKINS, R., 22, Hill Drive, Kingsbury, both in London. Dec. 24, 1930, No. 38856. [Class 37.] A slow-motion adjusting device for a condenser &c. comprises a pinion f<2>, Fig. 2, carried by a spindle f and engaging a toothed plate d<1> provided with a bush d<3> to which the condenser shaft is secured by a split chuck d<5>. The spindle f, or a bush f<3> thereon, is provided with a peripheral groove and is located between two arms g<1>, Fig. 5, of a plate g. The sides g<2> of this plate are turned up and slotted to receive a spring h which is bent to form a neck past which the spindle f can be snapped by rocking the knob f<1> so that the pinion f<2> can be engaged with or disengaged from the plate d<1>. A part g<3> of the plate g may be bent as shown to form a stop for the bush f<3> when the pinion f<2> and plate d<1> are in engagement. The spring h may be dispensed with, the ends of the arms g<1> being turned inwardly towards one another to secure the same result.
