365,297. R÷ntgen-ray tubes. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Jan. 1, 1931, No. 67. Convention date, June 13, 1930. Addition to 365,285. [Class 39 (i).] The active end surfaces of the anodes of the parent Specification are formed of contiguous wires or bands or turns or loops of spiral wires &c. A tungsten band 2, Fig. 1, may be wound into a spiral with its turns touching as indicated by the dotted lines, a copper backing 1 is then cast on and the band is ground down as shown to form a smooth face. In another arrangement, Fig. 3, radial tungsten bodies 3 are similarly treated. The bodies 3 may be triangular or of even width. The anodes may be rotated by the rotor of an induction motor.
