364,199. Thrashing-machines. MACIA, V., 32, Avenue St-EugÞne, Oran, Algeria. Oct. 9, 1930, No. 30278. [Class 58.] In a thrashing- machine of the type comprising a vertical revolving cylinder rotating together with a fan and having a helical row o f beaters co-operating with abutments connected to a surrounding stationary c o n - cave, the concave is provided with a helical grain delivery channel winding in t h e opposite direction to the row of beaters. Beating devices 2 are arranged helically on a cylinder 1 mounted on a vertical shaft 8 operated by bevel gears 14 from a motor. A concentric concave 4 comprises stationary beating devices and a helical channel 5 also having beating devices. A fan 12 on the shaft 8 sucks up dust, awns and straw into a chimney 7 at the top of a casing 3 surrounding the thrashing mechanism. Grain is delivered to a stationary or jigging incline 8, impurities being sucked therefrom by the fan, through a conduit 17.
