Abstract

363,019. Bottles. FORSTER'S GLASS CO., Ltd. and FORSTER, W., Atlas Glass Works, St. Helens, Lancashire. Sept. 27, 1930, No. 28974. [Class 125 (i).] The base of a glass bottle is formed with an inwardly tapering portion B, having a gradually increasing cross section, and, at the junction of the side wall C with the base, the radius of curvature of the inner surface is greater than that of the outer surface. The thickness of the portion A is preferably at least three times that of the wall.
