Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 100 (ii).] In a half-tone printing process the ink or other colouring or toning medium 1 diffuses by the aid of internal pressure through a permeable layer 2 capable of resisting compression and distortion and a printing- layer 3 of gelatine or the like firmly adhering thereto. The diffusibility of the layer 3 is locally modified according to the tones of the particular half-tone design preferably photographically. An armouring-network 6 may be embedded in the printing-layer 3. A press-plate 4 is adapted to press the paper 5 on the layer 3.
