[Classes 34 (i) and 34 (ii).] Fabrics either in the piece or as towels, clothes, &c. are dried in a casing A<1> on a series of superposed endless horizontal openwork conveyers C each travelling continuously round a heated chamber A closed on the underside and open above and at the sides. A fan D circulates air past heating tubes B and through the chamber, fresh air being admitted if required through a shutter. The conveyers are of woven wire, are mounted on roller chains and are driven at the same speed, the articles falling from one to another as shown.
