Abstract
361,881. Cleaning wire-cloths of paper-making and like machines. ANTOINE, V., Chalet du Wasai, Lambermont, Belgium. May 22, 1930, No. 15823. Convention date, May 22, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 96.] The wire cloth of a machine for making paper, board &c. is cleaned by steam or other fluid ejected under pressure, a carriage 11, Figs. 1 and 2, being movable on bars 7 extending across the whole width of the cloth 4, and having a fluid supply pipe co-operating with apparatus for distribution of the fluid. The pipe 15, Fig. 2, which is fitted in axles 13 of the rollers 12 of the carriage 11 is connected by a T-piece 16, a bend 17 and a flexible pipe 18 with the supply, and delivers steam &c. through a nozzle 24, Figs. 2 and 6, the T-piece end being stopped by a plug in which is screwed a rod 20 with a handle 21 for moving the carriage. In an alternative form the fluid is distributed from a slit along part of the lower side of a tube connected with a flexible supply hose and movably supported within a tube which is open along its lower side and is fixed across the machine.
