361,590. Cycle stands. CONSTRUCTORS, Ltd. and JOHNSON, F. H., Tyburn Road, Erdington, Birmingham. Nov. 12, 1930, No. 34034. [Class 136 (i).] ' A stand of the type adapted for the storage of a number of cycles is provided with supports or brackets for supporting the socket of each lamp holder after detachment from the cycle and with. flexible fastening-means for preventing theft of the lamp or cycle. In one form, a longitudinally disposed angle-bar 10 is secured to a stand of the type comprising a series of inclined wheel supports, and is provided at intervals with attached brackets, or with upwardly bent tongues 10a, to receive the sockets 11a of the lamp holders 11. Adjacent to each tongue is a chain 13 secured at one end to a bolt 12 and adapted to be passed through the lamp holder 11 and the front wheel 9 of the cycle and fastened by a padlock 14, the clasp of which is passed through rings 13a in the chain. When not in use, the padlock and chain are suspended from a hook 12a. In a modification, the bar 10 is provided with a ledge or shelf on which the bases of the lamps rest. In a further modification, the tongues for receiving the lamp sockets are arranged on the floor, and are slotted for the passage of the chains 13 above the lamp sockets when the latter are in position on the tongues.
