359,244. Artificial teeth. TRIGGS, W. W., 57, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.- (Porzellanfabrik C. M. Hutschenreuther Akt.-Ges. ; 25, Sidonienstrasse, Dresden, Germany.) Nov. 11, 1930, No. 33958. [Class 81 (ii).] An artificial tooth a, for use with or without a back plate, is formed with a cavity c extending from a seat l, at the upper end of the tooth, to the back of the tooth. The cavity is bridged at its upper end by a web d, and one or more vertical ribs b extend across the cavity from a point below the upper face of the web d so as to subdivide the cavity into parallel passages each with a separate opening at the back of the tooth. The horizontal face f at the lower end of the rib or ribs b may extend slightly beyond the flat rear surface of the tooth, and grooves e, e are formed therein at each side of the rib. The tooth may be embedded directly in the plastic material of the denture, or may be provided with a back plate g, Fig. 4, extending over the seat l and the rear of the tooth as far as the face f, and having tabs m, n, i entering the various openings into the tooth cavity, which in this case is filled with cement.
