Abstract
358,357. Casting. ETABLISSEMENTS G. BRIERE, 5, Rue Victor Hugo, Levallois Perret, Seine, France. Dec. 2, 1930, No. 36362. Convention date, Dec. 2, 1929. [Class 83 (i).] Moulds, for accumulator grids, comprise inter-engaging parts, vents for gases being formed on the engaging faces with which the metal does not come into contact. A mould may comprise two parts 1, 2, each carrying ribs grooved at 7, the engagement between faces 11, 13 and 10, 12 being such that gases may pass to vents 14 but the metal is prevented from coming into contact with these faces. The vents may lead to headers connected to a vacuum apparatus, and air under pressure may be forced in to separate the mould parts after casting.
