Abstract
354,530. Feeding filaments singly from a pile. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London.- (Assignees of Patent-Treuhand-Ges. f³r Elektrische Gl³hlampen; 11, Ehrenbergstrasse, Berlin.) July 24, 1930, No. 22314. Convention date, Aug. 17, 1929. [Class 142 (ii).] Filaments for electric lamps an removed singly from a pile in a tray 2 by a rotating disc 6<1> with a notched edge protruding through a slot in the bottom of the tray. The filaments are held in the pockets or slots 10<1> in the edge of the disc 61 by pivoted gripper arms 7<1> operated by a fixed cam 59 so that they close in the filaments in the tray and release them over a shoot 46. The filaments are pressed against the edge of the disc by a spring follower 61. The arms 7<1> may be arranged in recesses in the sides of the disc 6<1>.
