Abstract

353,712. Photographic shutters. SOHO, Ltd. and KERSHAW, N., 3, Soho Square, London. Aug. 1, 1930, No. 23178. [Class 98 (i).] In a camera of the kind in which the shutter works across an aperture in a lens plate 4 mounted behind an apertured front plate 1, the shutter comprises two blades 5, 6 working in unison across the apertures in plates 4, 1 respectively. The blade 6 may be connected to the blade 5 as by a strap 7 so that the two blades turn together on the single pivot 8. The blades 5, 6 and strap 7 may, for example be bent from a single sheet metal stamping. Alternatively the blades may be mounted separately on coaxial pivots on the front and lens plates respectively, and may be connected as by a tongue on the blade 6 engaging a slot on the blade 5.
