Abstract

351,130. Rotary drying-apparatus. HAAS, F., 11, Schillerstrasse, Lennep, Rhineland, Germany. April 8, 1930, No. 11086. [Class 34 (ii).] A rotary drum for drying ores &c. has sets a, b, c .. of partitions each succeeding set in the longitudinal direction of the drum breaking j o i n t with the preceding set. The longitudinal dimensions of the different sets of partitions may vary. Four partitions are shown in each set, and in each of the four compartments formed by a set angle-bars a<1>, a<2> may be fitted to disturb the material being dried. Other angle-bars may be fitted near the axis. Flue gases traverse the series of compartments. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 17053/00, [Class 51, Furnaces and kilns], 26078/02, [Class 34, Drying], 15906/12, 219,787, and 302,541, [all in Class 34 (ii), Drying systems &c.].
