Abstract
351,119. Vehicle wheels. GœNZEL, A., 5, Kotteritzerstrasse, Altenburg, Thuringia, Germany. April 2, 1930, No. 10513. Convention date, April 2, 1929. [Class 144 (i).] Wheels for road vehicles, motor ploughs, and other agricultural and like implements are provided with ring segments g<1>, g2 adapted to be swung into operative position at the tread of the wheel as at the top of Fig. 2, or remain in the inoperative position as in the lower part of the same Figure, where they are shown folded together. The segments are hinged to a ring frame d, Fig. 1, on the wheel and to one another at h to allow folding. The segments have angle-pieces i whereby they rest preferably resiliently as by rubber layers on the wheel rim and are fixed end to end by bolts passing through holes m. The segments may carry antislipping devices such as chains or other devices, or may cover (or uncover) antislipping devices b on the wheel.
