Abstract
350,263. Washing vehicles. GORKE, H., 75, Rumpfstrasse, Leverkusen-on-Rhine, Germany.-(Assignee of Neuhaus, C. ; 75, Rumpfstrasse, Leverkusen-on-Rhine, Germany.) June 25, 1930, No. 19390. Convention date, June 25, 1929. [Class 138 (i).] Vehicles, particularly automobiles, are washed inside waterproof curtains having nozzles and flexible pipes for the supply of cleaning liquids and drying gases. The cleaning liquid is supplied from pipes c having spraying nozzles a arranged on the waterproof curtain b surrounding the car. The pipes adjacent the car are made of soft material to prevent the vehicles being scratched. The curtain may be rolled up or moved aside or raised with the flexible pipes. The washing may be terminated by supplying rinsing liquid. A time switch f may be used to terminate the washing and compressed air supplied from pipes d, e. The air may be shut off by hand or automatically. In the case of cars which are partly open, the upholstering or driver's seat may be protected by an air cushion suspended from the ceiling and capable of being let down.
