Abstract

349,741. Electric radiators. MAXIM SOC. ANON. FABRIQUE D'APPAREILS THERMO-ELECTRIQUES, and HOFER, H., Aarau, Switzerland. April 29, 1930, No. 13219. Convention date, April 30, 1929. [Class 39 (iii).] In a radiator comprising a cylindrical heating element and a reflector which is a surface of revolution the generatrix of which is an undulating curve, the reflector has a spherical envelope and comprises a series of stepped surfaces the generatrices of which are substantially straight for the major portions of their lengths. The minor portions 1 .. 4 of the generatrices are of substantially equal width and the straight portions decrease in length from the centre to the rim. The inclinations of the straight portions to the axis is greater than the inclinations of the portions 1 .. 4. The reflector prevents convergence or considerable divergence of heat rays.
