348,872. Glass annealing leers. UNITED GLASS BOTTLE MANUFACTURERS, Ltd. and MOORSHEAD, T. C., 40, Norfolk Street, Strand, London. May 10, 1930, No. 14491. [Class 51 (ii).] The leer tunnel is built up of a number of sections a connected together by expansion pieces band jacketed to form passages g through which a temperature-controlling medium can be circulated transversely to the length of the bar. The medium is supplied by a fan to a longitudinal main k, which may be heat insulated, and passes through dampercontrolled ducts h to the casings, the exhaust being effected through bottom ducts i. Specification 289,501, [Class 51 (ii), Furnaces and kilns for applying &c.], is referred to.
