Abstract

348,260. Television; copying telegraphy. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. March 1, 1930, No. 6868. Convention date, March 13, 1929. [Class 40 (iii).] Rotating scanning members adapted to scan along a chord of their circular path are so shaped that the scanning speed along the chord remains constant. In electrochemical recording, the scanning members 3 .. 8, Fig. 1, pass over a bar 9, the paper 10 passing between. The members 3 .. 8 are so shaped that the scanning speed along the bar 9 remains constant. In television, a rotating mirror 16 throws an image of an illuminated slit 12 on the screen 17. The slit is traversed by apertures 15 in a disc 13, the apertures being so shaped that the scanning speed along the line remains constant. According to a modification, the scanning members 3 .. 8, Fig. 1, are adapted to move radially to the disc 2 under the action of a cam. A graphical method of obtaining the shape of the scanning members is described.
