[Class 58.] Thrashing-machines with laterally-arranged elevators are provided with serrated clawing members extending over substantially the whole length of the brake drum so that the material from the elevators is distributed evenly along the drum. Sheaves, carried up by the elevator c, are cut by knives m and their material engaged and carried forward by oscillating clawing members z. The material is thus distributed evenly along the length of the drum b.
