Abstract

Hydrocarbons such as petrol and lubricating oils are freed from sulphur, free carbon, and other impurities by treatment with oxygen, ozonized air, or ozonized oxygen, and then with alkaline lye. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 22430/06, 196,680, 219,351, and 263,186, [all in Class 91, Oils &c.].
