Abstract
346,144. Torsion springs. STEVENS, H. A., 155, Belsize Road, Kilburn, London. March 25, 1930, No. 9522. [Class 108 (iii).] A torsion spring shown applied in Fig. 3 to doors consists of a number of strips 10, 11, which may be of different widths and separated by strips of rubber. The spring may be enclosed in a sheath of rubber or other material, and its ends may be free to slide longitudinally in its fixing plates to avoid tensile or compressive stresses.
