Abstract

346,104. Treating the hair with light, heat, or magnetism. KRAUER, J. I., 5A, New Burlington Street, London. Feb. 19, 1930, No. 5488. [Class 81 (ii).] An appliance for treating the hair comprises a box 1 to be placed on the head and provided in its interior with a lamp 14, heating devices 3, 4, an electromagnet 5 the poles of which are extended as at 6, a copper disc 9 from which extend tongues 10, 11 coloured alternately with different coloured lacquers and a perforated zinc cone 16 which is soldered to the tongues 11 and contacts with the tongues 10. A glass dome 18 transparent to ultraviolet rays fits over the head of a user and is held in position in the box by a ring 19 supported by brackets 20.
