344,672. Refrigerators. LEHMANN, E. M., 4, Schutzenstrasse, Gera, Reuss, Germany. March 12, 1930, No. 8004. [Class 29.] A refrigerator is cooled by a compression refrigerating machine mounted upon an evaporator shelf 8 having ice-making trays 67, 68 and communicating through a float-controlled orifice 61 with a liquid refrigerant vessel 60 and through a pipe 58 with a hollow evaporator shelf 9. The shelf 9 communicates through a pipe 58 with another evaporator shelf 10 which communicates through a pipe 54 with the suction port of the compressor 52. The compressor discharges into a condenser coil 57 connected to the vessel 60. The switch 66 controlling the electric motor 51 driving the compressor is operated by a thermostat 63.
