[Class 60.] Slides; protecting parts of machines.-The slideways of tables &c. of grinding-machines and other machine tools are formed with a recess f and a gap e between the bearing surfaces to accommodate a guard plate j, which extends the length of the machine to protect the bearing surfaces g, h of the bed from dirt &c. Several modifications are described.
