343,656. Iron-heating stoves. SOUTH METROPOLITAN GAS CO. and CHANDLER, D., 709, Old Kent Road, London. Dec. 20, 1929, No. 39102. [Class 126.] A stove for heating soldering-irons comprises one or more retorts 3, 4 adapted to receive the irons and externally heated by a burner 9. The retorts may be of a metal which does not readily oxidize, and that nearest the burner has thicker walls than the others. In the stove shown the retorts are formed with front flanges 5 having lugs for securing screws, and with rear projections 8 fitting into recesses in the refractory lining 2 of the stove.
