Abstract
341,922. Valve generating circuits. SALMOND, J. S. C., SHEARING, G., and URE, W., H.M. Signal School, Royal Naval Barracks, Portsmouth. Oct. 23, 1929, No. 32208. [Class 40 (v).] A high-frequency generating system comprises a plurality of controlled push-pull power units F2 .. F5 with means for controlling the phase of any of the units. The units are excited from a push-pull oscillator A, B, controlled by a piezoelectric crystal D, through push-pull amplifiers Q, R, L1, M1, and valves A1 B1 for producing an odd harmonic of the original frequency. The amplifiers L1, M1 are coupled to the power units through condensers A2, B2 and a Lecher wire system G4, G5, by which the phase of the power units can be adjusted. Impedances C3, C4 in series with neutralizing condensers D2, E2, T1, V1 check spurious oscillations. The power units excite separate aerials M3, M4, or a single aerial by symmetrical arrangement (Fig. 3, not shown). Specification 304,382, [Class 40 (v), Wireless signalling &c.], is referred to.
