Abstract

341,498. Radiators for heating buildings. AUSTEN, F. H., 66, Carisbrooke Road, Leicester, and VENEERAY INVISIBLE HEATING CO., Ltd., 12, Buckingham Street, London. Sept. 11, 1929 No. 27651. [Class 64 (ii).] The sections 10, shown in plan in Fig. 2, of radiators having loop-shaped passages for heating fluid in planes at rightangles to the general plane of the radiator each has at least one flat face 11 adapted to form with others a flat surface to which a veneer or other covering 19 may be fitted. The sections communicate through branches 13, and the flat faces may be cast with them. Preferably a small clearance 14 is left between adjacent faces, and some faces may be stepped back slightly from the general surface. The veneer may be secured by clips as described in Specification 297,043, [Class 64 (ii), Heating systems &c.], the slots for the clips 25 being provided in the faces of the sections or in the edges of the faces. The air may circulate through spaces 17 between the sections and also in some cases through apertures through the sections. The radiator may be supported beneath a window with gratings in the skirting and window boards for air circulation, and may be mounted by resilient means as described in Specification 298,069, [Class 64 (ii), Heating systems &c.]. Sections 26, Fig. 5, with long branch pipes 10 and wide faces 11 may be employed.
