Abstract

341,085. Floor-washing machines. ADAMSON, T. G., 56, Greenwich Road, Greenwich, New South Wales, Australia. Oct. 9, 1929, No. 30669. [Class 138 (i).] Floor-scrubbing machines comprise a wheel driven structure with a prime mover driving a rotary brush 44, a pair of detachable tanks 15 each of which may supply water by a pipe to the floor, a ramp 45 up which the used water is forced by the brush into a sump 46, and a conveyer mop 65 passing round guiding rollers 67 and wringing rollers 69. The belt is driven from the prime mover independently of motion of the apparatus. The tanks are arranged alongside one another and either may be used as a clean water supply or for containing the dirty water which is pumped up from the sump. The brush 44 is of cylindrical shape with the trolley in rows of chevron formation. The mop belt 65 passes over rollers 67 and under a spring-mounted perforated roller 69, the water being expressed and passing through the perforations into a tray 72. From thence it passes by a flexible pipe 79 to the sump.
