Abstract
340,713. Paper pulp beaters. KIRCHNER, U., 25, Gartenstrasse, Biberach-on-Riss, and STRECKER, G., 9, Wilhelmstrasse, Darmstadt, both in Germany. Nov. 14, 1929, No. 34816. Convention date, Nov. 14, 1928. [Class 96.] The beater roll 1 is provided with interior beater blades, knives, or the like 6 co-operating with an interior bed-plate 13 hung by arms 15 on a shaft 16 which is mounted eccentrically for adjustment in the parts 8. The blades 6 are mounted in the end walls 7 of the roller. The usual wood lining between the blades may be omitted, the external edges of the blades 6 then co-operating with the usual external bedplate 5 and the invention may be applied to an ordinary hollander trough as in Fig. 1. The wood lining between the blades may be used and the stream of pulp caused to follow the path shown in Fig. 7, the pulp from the backfall of the beater passing to the interior of the beater roll for treatment between the blades 6 and the bedplate 13.
