Outdoor games; skittle alleys. - Relates to apparatus for playing games such as court bowls, skittles, floor billiards, &c., of the kind comprising a table mounted on a substantially central axis and normally supported in a horizontal position but capable of being tilted to return the balls, and consists in the provision on both sides of the axis of supporting discs rotatable about an eccentric axis and provided with a spring control tending to hold the table to the discs as the latter are turned to lower their supporting surfaces. As shown, a table 10, Fig. 1, is tiltable about a fulcrum 11 and is supported at each side by discs 14 eccentrically mounted on shafts 15. Blade springs 19 are pivoted to the discs and are normally caused to bear upwardly against the underside of the table by the abutment of pins 21 projecting from the discs. The table may be caused to tilt towards either side by rotating the discs at that side by means of a handle 22, the springs on the rotated discs being disabled and the springs at the other side effecting the tilting. In modifications, the table is tiltable about two fulcra 30, Fig. 4, rolling on surfaces 31, and the eccentric discs are mounted on the table and react upon the ground. The table may be provided with a cloth cover permanently or detachably secured to the table at one end and stretched by a roller at the other end. The tilting of the table serves also to cause rain to run off the playing surface.
