Channels in Bowden machines. - In Bowden and like mechanism with the inner member a of flexible stranded wire, solid wire or rod, jointed rods, or rods and stranded wire in combination, the outer member b, which may be in one length or in joined lengths, consists of a coil of wire or other material, of square, round, oval, ribbon, or other section wound into waved, stepped, or other form so as to leave pockets or spaces d around the inner member. Friction is thus reduced, and the pockets may contain grease or other lubricant, in which case a waterproof or other covering for the outer member may be provided.
