Abstract
338,420. Forloni, A. Jan. 3,1929, [Convention date]. Collapsable gates.- A collapsable gate comprises a number of vertical main pickets 1, each comprising a pair of channelled members spaced apart with their channelled faces facing one another and connected by the pivots of the operating lazytong levers 6, 7. Between the main pickets a number of subsidiary pickets 8, 9 are secured to the levers 6, 7 in different planes so that when the gate is collapsed the subsidiary pickets are guided into the spaces between the members of the main pickets and are concealed therein, notches 14 being provided in the subsidiary pickets to clear the pivots. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also a form of gate in which each subsidiary picket comprises a set of aligned short sections, whilst each section of the central subsidiary picket comprises a pair of members which in the collapsed position embraces the sections of the outer subsidiary pickets. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
