Seed &c distributers. - In a machine having two reciprocating distributing combs driven by two cranks at an angle with one another on a crank shaft and having the teeth of the two combs in the same plane, with the teeth of one comb passing between those of the other, the two combs are reciprocated at right angles to the teeth and to the direction of movement of the machine. The rods 1, 2 carrying the teeth 3, 4 may be arranged outside the box 6, as shown, with the teeth passing through a slot controlled by means of a shutter 5. The rods 1, 2 may be arranged one above the other, or one or both may be inside the box 6, in which case the teeth need not pass through the slot. The machine may have two distributing slots with the rods 1, 2 outside and on opposite sides of the box, the teeth extending through both slots.
