Corrosion, preventing.-Aluminium is preserved from attack by alkaline solutions, e.g. alkaline bleaching liquors, by adding to the solutions alkali silicates, e.g., water-glass, hydrogen peroxide, compounds yielding hydrogen peroxide such as sodium perborate or percarbonate, or a mixture of such silicates with such compounds.
