Abstract
336,571. Automatic Telephone Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Jordan, T. C., and Eddowes, S. G. July 12, 1929. Drawings to Specification. Automatic exchange selectors.-A switch of Strowger type embodies the following features :- (1) the contact springs controlled by the magnets and by the movement of the switch are similar to those employed on relays and lie horizontally with individual springs in a vertical plane, the rotary off-normal springs and the eleventh step springs being mounted as a single unit and being operated separately in two steps by a cam; (2) two separate overlapping release detents are employed, the vertical detent when operated causing the operation of the rotary detent, and the latter being operable independently to effect rotary release; (3) a pair of wipers connected together and moving vertically with the switch shaft are arranged to make connection between a feed strip and a vertical row of terminals: (4) the pawl springs' are connected to a wire loop which may be bent to effect adjustment.
