Abstract
336,270. Negromanti, A. April 11, 1929. Warming wearing-apparel. - An electricallyheated fabric, more particularly for use in clothing &c. in contact with the human body, comprises a heating-resistance in series with a fusible cut-out which is arranged in close proximity to the resistance and melts on an excessive rise in the temperature of the surrounding materials. The fusible wire may extend over the whole, or parts only, of the heating circuit. In Fig. 2, the heating resistance 5 is wound on or laid over a fusible core 3, being connected thereto at 6, and a sheath 4 of electric-insulating heat-conducting material such as enamel being interposed. In Fig. 3, an insulating core 9 of cotton or asbestos is wound with the resistance 10, over which is placed a sheath 11 on which in turn is wound the fusible wire 12.
