Paper, treating with special materials. - In order to preserve the aroma of tobacco and tobacco goods, the paper or other covering- materials are treated with photo-dynamically active substances such as ergosterine. cholesterine, eosin, or methylene blue, and the effect may be further enhanced by subsequent exposure to ultra-violet light. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the covering- materials may be impregnated or coated with solutions of the substances mentioned, or such substances may be added during manufacture. e.g. to paper pulp. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
