Abstract

331,862. Fincham, E. F., and Clarke, C. April 9, 1929. Ophthalmoscopes. - In an ophthalmoscope of the type adapted also for use as a retinoscope, the sight hole H in the inclined mirror F is situated near to, but not coincident with, the point on which the beam from the lamp A is projected. The result is that the axes of illumination and observation are inclined to one another and corneal reflections do not obstruct the view of the observer. A rotatable disc is mounted in the path of the rays from the lamp A and provided with slits, circular apertures, or colour filters for alternative use. Ventilating apertures M and passages are provided in the casings B, L.
