Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores.-A tubular rubber core, adapted to fit within an ordinary tyre cover 17, is formed in one or more straight lengths with spaced wedge-section ribs 13. The moulded lengths are bent so as to open the narrowed portions 15 of the spacing grooves when fitting into the outer cover. The core may be formed with a split base connected by fibre pins 19, Fig. 5, secured by vulcanization.
